Paper Submission
The ISST invites the electronic submission of abstracts for open research papers, poster presentations, and in-congress workshops. Preference will be given to submissions focusing on attachment, re-parenting and the therapy relationship in Schema Therapy. Online submission closes at January 10th, 2012. All abstracts must be submitted in English. Delegates who are presenting must register for the congress before their presentation can be included in the program.
Open research papers: Individual oral presentations of data, no longer than 15 minutes in length. The congress organizers will group individual submissions into open paper symposia of 4-5 papers pertaining to a central topic. Each paper will last 10-15 minutes with 5 minutes left for discussion after each presentation. In a case of too many oral papers, the scientific and organizing committee has a right to offer a poster presentation instead.
Poster presentations: Presentations of new research findings, important ongoing research, or interesting clinical cases.
In-Congress Workshops – (90 minutes each). This format is didactic and provides interaction and discussion between presenters and participants on practical application of theory and techniques related to attachment, re-parenting, and the therapy relationship.
Please ensure that your abstract contains a maximum of 300 words. Avoid abbreviations in the title. They may be used in the text if they are defined when used first.
To provide maximum information the abstract should consist of:
Objectives – A brief statement of the purpose of the study (preferably in one sentence)
Methods - A brief description of the methods used
Results – A summary of the results obtained in sufficient detail
Conclusions - Theoretical and/or practical implications
All submissions will be reviewed by an international Scientific Review Committee.
