The Schema Therapy Competence Scale (STCS)

At the bottom of this page you find a download of the preliminary Schema Therapy Competence Scale (STCS), formerly called Schema Therapy Rating Scale (the old name is still on the head of the Scale, but the content remained the same).

The scale contains 14 subscales, divided into three groups (General Therapeutic Skills, Conceptualisation and Education, Schema Change). For each items a stepped description of the rated behavior is given The idea is, that in all of the three groups the cut of criteria of 4,5 should be met. But of course it is not necessary, that in the third part all of the techniques are used.

At the end of the scale a forth part is added to give some general remarks about the quality of the session concerning research issues.
